Working closely with the project’s architects, Woodburn & Company created a Master Plan for this evolving property. Easy connection between the existing home and the proposed guesthouse was a must but privacy and separation were important as well. Protection of existing plant material and nestling the guesthouse into the land were important elements in this effort. Stone retaining walls mimicking the existing ledge and a mixed evergreen screen provided needed privacy between the very busy street, the site, and, specifically the pool garden.
