Robbi Woodburn, ASLA

Since opening Woodburn & Company in New Hampshire in 1994, Ms. Woodburn has directed its growing reputation for thoughtful and creative landscape architectural design. As part of the firm's mission, she has overseen a variety of project work including residential design as well as commercial, public, and institutional plans. Ms. Woodburn directs design and oversees all aspects of the project development process as part of the firm’s goal of personalized service.

Recent project work includes the Portsmouth African Burying Ground Memorial and Commemorative Park in Portsmouth, Nhe Hampshire, the Shapleigh and Mitchell School Landscapes in Kittery, Maine, the Durham Public Library and the Jackson’s Landing Master Plan in Durham, New Hampshire and the Exeter, Hew Hampshire Downtown Restoration Project. Additionally Ms. Woodburn has designed numerous landscape projects for the University of New Hampshire, including the newly installed Flagpole Plaza at Thompson Hall, landscape renovations for the Thompson Hall Parking area, landscape renovations at the President’s House and the landscape at the entry to the Paul Creative Arts Center.

Ms. Woodburn has established many ties within the local community. She has been a member of the Durham Main Street Board of Directors and of the Town of Durham Zoning Board of Appeals. In addition, she has served as a member of the Steering Committee for Durham’s year 2000 Master Plan update and on the committee charged with rewriting the Zoning Ordinance. She currently sits on the New Hampshire State Board of Landscape Architecture and is a regional representative to the Board of the Granite State Landscape Architects.

Prior to founding the firm in New Hampshire in 1994, Ms. Woodburn spent four years designing landscapes in California. Before that she was an associate with Morgan Wheelock Incorporated in Boston.

Ms. Woodburn has been a judge at the annual Massachusetts Horticultural Society Spring Flower Show and has lectured for the Garden Club Federation of Massachusetts School of Landscape Design. She is also a former member and docent of the Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Garden in Claremont, California.

A member of the American Society of Landscape Architects, Ms. Woodburn holds state registrations in Maine, Vermont and New Hampshire. She is a graduate of the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry, Syracuse, New York 1979, with degrees in Environmental Studies and Landscape Architecture.

Victoria Martel, ASLA

Vicky earned her Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where she graduated with honors and received the American Society of Landscape Architects Merit Award for excellence in the study of Landscape Architecture.

While persuing her degree, Vicky worked in the field at two small design-build firms. There she gained valuable first-hand experience in landscape installation and fine gardening. As a result of spending summers working in beautiful coastal gardens, Vicky is very knowledgeable in both construction practices and plant care and selection.

Vicky joined Woodburn & Company in 2008. She designs and manages projects, along with being Robbi’s right-hand and head AutoCAD tutor.

Vicky lives in Maine with her husband Kevin. She enjoys working in her garden, cooking and spending time on the water.
