The owners of this property wanted to transform their rear yard into a haven for both kids and adults. A patio, in-ground pool, spa, waterfall, fireplace and surrounded by plantings create a private garden for year round outdoor enjoyment. Conforming to tight setbacks, wetland buffer regulations, fire safety code, budget and fulfilling the owner’s program requirements made for a challenging design process. The result is a cozy and efficient outdoor room ready for lounging by the pool in summer or curling up with a fire in cooler months.
